The provision for skateboarding is crap and if Hackney Council and the people on the users' group continue to run things the way they always have it ain't gonna get any better folks. At a recent users' group meeting the suggestion from the group was that maybe a facility could be sited closer to the centre of the borough or Dalston. This was in answer to a presentation from young people eager to see a facility for their age group sited within the park.

The fact that a bijou boutique of skater apparel is located a short walk from the park and that the middle classes of Stoke Newington delight in outfitting their children in these very desirable and, to many, over-priced threads seems to be disconnected - "but if they would only go and skate somewhere else everyone would be so much happier".
